Haldighati
in 1576, A blood - bathed war took place in haldighati, Rajasthan, India. one side of the coin was the great mughal emperor Akbar and the other was his sworn enemy, Maharana Pratap, king of Mewar, in the present state of Rajasthan. The Amazing fact is That, in this battle, The commander - in - Chief of Akbar was a hindu, Raja Maan Singh, king of Amer, (now known as Jaipur, capital city of Rajasthan) and Maharana Pratap's Commander was a pathan, Hakim Khan Sur.
A great alma mater, history is. It teaches us many things. The supreme truth, however, it inculcates, there is no religion in this world except humanity though we tend to forget it each and every fraction of a second. that's why the history is made.

In this battle, an artificial trunk is attached to the face of Chetak ( the brave, super powerful and loyal horse of Maharana Pratap, who lost his life after saving his master and revered in India as a martyr) to make him look like a baby elephant to ward off the attacks of elephants of the mughal. you can clearly see the artificial trunk in this picture. enjoy!!
